Debut of Sissonville WV History Website

Today I announced the launch of this site to my friends on the Greater Sissonville Heritage Tree site on Facebook and have received numerous congratulatory responses.  It is my goal for this site to be an interactive one with folks from both the area and those who have familial ties to the area, or, just local history buffs. 

​Some of the ideas I have for the site are:  

1. Stories about the founding of the Sissonville community
2. Stories about the people who were the pioneers and "movers and shakers
3. A photo gallery of people and places with captions
4. Personal remembrances of growing up i"n the area by members of the community
5. Sharing recipes that have been passed down through the generations
6. "Tall Tales" and Superstitions
7. Folk sayings and phrases used in past times (with explanations for the younger folk)

Please let me know of any suggestions, ideas, and what you would like to see added, as I welcome your responses.
I am not able to provide any genealogical research, but will pass your questions on to members of the group who may have an answer for you.
