He was the brother Judith (Baldwin) Burford [half], Elizabeth (Baldwin) Harris [half], Agnes (Baldwin) Harris, Charles Baldwin and Martha Patsey (Baldwin) Raines [half]. He married Ann Simmons on 24 Feb 1794 in Prince Edward, Virginia. Lyle, also known as “Little John,” and Ann were the father of Elizabeth, Agnes C., Samuel Brassfield, and Judith Ann Baldwin. Lyle died about 15 May 1815 at about age 45 in Prince Edward County, Virginia.
Samuel Brassfield Baldwin was born on 26 Mar 1803 in Worsham, Prince Edward County, Virginia. Samuel married, first, Susan E. on 15 Oct 1827 in Prince Edward, Virginia. James Clarkson “Clark” Baldwin was born on 5 Aug 1911 in Sissonville, Grapevine Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia. He married Helen Louise Burdette in 1928 in Kanawha County, WV. Clark died on Sep 1973 (aged 62) and is buried in The Lexington Cemetery, Lexington Fayette County, Kentucky. Their son is James Clarkson "Moe" Baldwin Jr. (1943–2019). Moe married Linda Kay Leonard Baldwin. He died on April 29, 2019 at his residence in Lexington, KY. He was born on 7 Oct 1943, in Sissonville, WV. Mr. Baldwin was an Air Force veteran and retired from Columbia Gas. Survivors, along with his wife are three children, Todd (Michele) Baldwin, Leigh Roach, and Jerry Dale (Gina) Baldwin; six grandchildren, Tyler, Josh, Aaron, Noah and Nick Baldwin and Taylor Roach; great grandchild, Solomon Baldwin; and a sister, Delores Cook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Richard Baldwin, Vivian Tipton, Tommy Baldwin, Sue Mullins, and Linda Jo Morris.

Ira Otis Baldwin was born on 15 Mar 1921 in Sissonville, Grapevine Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia. Ira never married and enlisted in the United States Army on 28 October 1943 at Huntington, WV. His service number was 35776471. He was assigned to the 115th Infantry, 2nd Battalion, and the 29th Regiment in Company E. He entered the service on 18 November 1943 and received his training at Camp Wolters (now Fort Wolters) in Texas. He saw action in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. A rifleman, Ira was killed in action in the vicinity of Dürboslar, Germany on 19 November 1944. He was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster and is buried in Plot J, Row 16, Grave 10 in the American War Cemetery, Margraten, Holland.

- James served in the 7th Virginia (Ashby’s) Cavalry during the Civil War, enlisting in the spring of 1861, serving under Colonel Angus William McDonald. The regiment was initially assigned to guarding the upper Potomac River Valley and was attached to the command of Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson in the spring of 1862 taking part in Jackson's Valley Campaign, where the exploits of the unit and its commander, Turner Ashby, became famous on both sides of the war. Near the conclusion of the campaign, Ashby was mortally wounded, and Col. Richard Henry Dulany took command of the regiment, which had swelled to 29 companies. The regiment was reorganized at the end of the campaign, with the original 10 companies remaining and the excess 19 forming the 12th Regiment and 17th Battalion of Virginia Cavalry.

He married Lura Colleen Robinson (b. 19 Oct 1923; d. 23 Mar 2001), daughter of John Franklin Robinson and Icy Lura Burgess, in 1946 in his hometown. Arthur worked as a glazier at Libby Owens Ford Glass Company in Kanawha City for many years. He died on January 7, 1993, in his hometown at the age of 72. He and Lura are buried in South Charleston, West Virginia. Their children are Nancy Margaret Baldwin (1948). Nancy married firstly, John Franklin Shinn and secondly Dale Moffatt. Her daughter is Melissa Lura Shinn who first married Brian Stowers and secondly Michael Landers. Melissa’s children are Morgan Stowers and Travis Harper. Romie Travis Franklin Baldwin (1951) married Anne Leslie Whittington (1955-2008). Their children are Daniel Whittington Baldwin, who married Heather Gould, and Andrew Keatley Baldwin who married Jessica Lynch. Daniel’s children are Aiden Riley Baldwin and Alexandera Ann Baldwin.
- Harold Albert Baldwin was born on 20 Nov 1922 in Kanawha County, West Virginia. He never married. Harold died on 28 April 2000 in Kanawha County, West Virginia.
- Gilbert Carl Baldwin was born on 20 July 1923 in Kanawha County, West Virginia. Gilbert married Rosaline J. Baldwin (b. 2 Oct 1932), the daughter of Herman Alonzo Baldwin and Ethel Mary Burdette. Ira Otis Baldwin was born on 15 Mar 1921 in Sissonville, Grapevine Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia. Ira never married and enlisted in the United States Army on 28 October 1943 at Huntington, WV. His service number was 35776471. He was assigned to the 115th Infantry, 2nd Battalion, and the 29th Regiment in Company E. He entered the service on 18 November 1943 and received his training at Camp Wolters (now Fort Wolters) in Texas. He saw action in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. A rifleman, Ira was killed in action in the vicinity of Dürboslar, Germany on 19 November 1944. He was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster and is buried in Plot J, Row 16, Grave 10 in the American War Cemetery, Margraten, Holland.
